The job market now is booming. There are more vacancies than candidates, and this trend is reverberating globally. If you are a candidate, you are in a relatively comfortable position as you can probably pick and choose between different job opportunities. You will likely have multiple job offers if you pass the interview stages. But at the other end of the spectrum, employers want to ensure they get the most qualified candidates. Hence, you need to ensure your application stands out as a candidate. If you apply to a particular job, read the job advertisement; otherwise, you are setting yourself up to fail. If you aren’t getting a favourable response to your application, here are four reasons why your job application is being rejected.

You don’t have the legal right to work in the location of the job

With many jobs now being offered on a hybrid or remote basis, make sure you have the legal right to work in the location where the job exists. Unless otherwise stated, most jobs still require you to be based in a particular place because the contract of employment will need to be administered in one place so that the candidate can seek recourse in case of any disputes.
